Hikeset is free for planning trips with your group.
Backpacking is best in small groups. Trails have limited campsites, Leave No Trace principles ask us to keep groups small, and the backcountry experience is better when you're not managing a crowd. The free tier covers most trips. Higher tiers are available by request for guides, scout leaders, and outdoor club organizers.

Why limits?
Hikeset was built for real trip planning, not spam. Most backpacking groups are 2–5 people, and even larger outings like scout troops rarely exceed 20. The free Hiker plan covers the vast majority of trips without any restrictions on the planning tools themselves—routes, maps, and pack lists are all fully available.
The limits on member counts, images, and custom uploads exist to keep Hikeset useful and spam-free. If you're a trail guide, scout leader, or outdoor club organizer who needs higher limits, request access above. Most users won't need it.
